didnt sleep sooooo bloody tired from hike still recovering. quads need more endurance training to decrease recovery time. need to focus more on krebs cycle activation and lipolysis (aerobic metab basically fucking joging or tons of low reps will do tomorrow)

Sounds like an interesting hike; as for the germans they're just charting the lands and laying out attack plans while waiting for the opportunity to start WWIII ;)

You said you were training for powerlifting, so why all the high repetetions (eights and such^^). Is it just a phase to build some mass before changing to lower reps? Also, when you write "chins", would you mind describing what you mean more closely? Generally, in Sweden, a chin is a pullup with a wide, pronated grip (unless you are in a fitness competition, then its a pullup with a pronated grip slightly wider than your shoulders), and a "pullup" denominates the exercise done with a close, supinated grip. However, this seems to be completely different in other countries. Makes me confused xD

That's right, kick your professor! A question about your subject though: I've heard that cancer cells are unable to convert anything other than glucose to ATP, hence making a kethogenic diet a theoretically very good weapon to beat cancer (since without glucose, the cancer would "starve" to death). This, however, sounds way too simple to me and since ur the first one i've seen that actually studies it i might as well ask you if you know anything about it:)

Thats the point i point out to the germans too. Ive asked them many times when they start. they wont say we egyptians would love to help with the uk bit they didnt do it right twice coz they didnt ask us for help. ah well let them try a third:P!!

Now. im doing high number of reps to increase upper body size. my legs thighs specially are dispropotionately massive i have the leg structure of a rugby player so my upper needs well to be well enlarged. Ive long neglected my body for 6 years now on and of. So im left with big leg muscles that are strong but no longer fit like back when i did taekwondoo 10 years of it. and a weaker upper which ive managed to whip in shape since april. So my training will be rather messy for a  while massive wights and with the legs lots of running and stretching. then it will be simple again.

chin up in english is hands facing forward shoulder width. Pull up is hands facing body shoulder width. and another kind (not sure of name) is a wide version of chin up hands very wide and usually u go up with head forward so bar touches back of neck harder than touching chest.

sorry about the confusion. ive bin informed of this mix up in swedish i should have remmeebr.

Cancer cells are indeed as u say aerobic metabolisers (similiar to strenght training) but both aerobic (fitness training) and anerobic muscles use glycogen broken down to form glucose. different lies in what kind of waste. aerobic produces pyruvic acid which goes into the krebs cyvle(citric acid cycle) slower but more ATP (energy) produced. anerobic produces atp les of it and lactic acid which is recycled to glucose, or to pyruvate when there is oxygen.

i hope ur not lost yet this simplified u can ask for more details if it unclear.

cancer cells are anerobic but so far ketogenic diets are proposed as a potential cure/aid to cure so research is still under way. In my opinion at best they will be an aid to actual chemotherapy etc. such as losing wight and stoping smoking help high blood pressure medicine. Ill read a few scientific papers and feed u in on whats happening. But as far as i know its still being debated so 20 more years till concrete results.

Anyways sorry for its lenght

Have a nice weeks end sorry for the lenght.

The post really wasn't that long, mate, so np. You should see some of the things that I spew out of my keyboard sometimes:P But try to post some kind of program or whatever when your training stops being messy, i think that'll make it easier to follow for alot of ppl. Unless of course you want noone to follow it; i sometimes wish to get rid of all the ppl writing in my journal as well just to get a clear overview of how the weights and repetitions progress instead of having to sift through endless pages of spam to get to it:P

Anyways, I have a pretty good idea of the way the citric acid cycle and energy metabolism in general works (luckily=)) since i'm studying quite a bit of physiology atm as a hobby, and that kind of stuff kind of comes like a bonus:) So everything clear at that part; i suppose you meant to say "Cancer cells are indeed as u say anaerobic" instead of aerobic. However, when drawing a parallell to loosing weight/stopping to smoke as an aid to blood pressure medication, wouldn't it be better to compare it with manipulating your intake of potassium and sodium (i think? not quite sure of the english names so correct me if it sounds weird^^) to almost completely control the blood pressure? I mean in the sense that you take control of the most important regulator; almost completely removing the way that the cancer cells get energy seems kind of major in my eyes. Then again there is always at little glucose in the blood even during ketosis, and perhaps since the cancer "eat" this that ups the gluconeogenesis reducing the difference it makes. I dunno.
Anyways, i appreciate the fact that you could confirm this for me, I find things like this kind of interesting:) And i'm sorry for taking up space in your journal with this shit that really has nothing to do with training :/

You have a nice weekend too, or what little is left of it:P For me the "weekend" will last a full week, we have a festival here in malmoe celebrating the glory of our city (or something like that; noone really knows what we celebrate, but then again noone really cares as long as they get to be drunk) that will carry on until the end of next weekend:)

hello,
its as u say the are anaerobic i wrote it right one and wrong the other. as for hypertension yes the analogy of reducing salt is also a good one. keotgenic diets may help theoretically thyll help (reduce risk, improve prognosis, shorten treatment time, lower doses of drugs used so less side effects which kill cancer patients anyways as i have seen to many times etc). BUT the body will just produce more glocose even if it has to catabolise itself. so it will help theoretically it remains to be proven in a clinical trial.

U can write anything on my blog. its np ill try and organise this mess as soon as possible. I usually copy and paste the excercises i type here an put em on word and exel and that way i can happily keep track while skipping conversations here if required. try it should help.

have a nice WEEK and dont go to crazy with the alcohol.
